What is Tides of Annihilation?
Tides of Annihilation is a single-player action-adventure from Chengdu-based studio Eclipse Glow Games, built with Unreal Engine 5. You play Gwendolyn, the lone survivor of an otherworldly invasion that tore London apart, searching for the Holy Grail to save her sister and take revenge on the gods of Avalon.
Dual Frontline Battle System
Two spectral knights fight beside Gwendolyn in attack and defense roles, and you can swap loadouts even mid-combo for a single-player co-op feel.

The studio has confirmed a 2026 release window but has not announced an exact date. The game is playable at gamescom 2026 (August 27-30, Hall 6 B-050), and an Opening Night Live broadcast is set for August 25. Any more specific date you see online is speculation until Eclipse Glow Games confirms it.
How does the Dual Frontline Battle System work?+
The Dual Frontline Battle System pairs two spectral Knights of the Round Table with Gwendolyn in combat — one set for offense, one for defense. You equip two loadouts (four knights total) and can swap between them mid-combo, which makes fights feel like coordinated co-op even though the game is single-player.

What are Colossal Knights?+
Colossal Knights are enormous bosses that roam ruined London like living architecture. Instead of fighting them purely from the ground, you climb their bodies, explore surfaces and settlements on them, expose weak points, and trigger dramatic finisher sequences. They are a signature feature of the game.
What is mirror combat?+
Mirror combat comes from the Mirror Space Folded Realm mechanic. Certain enemies, led by the witch Tyronoe, fold reality so fights play out across two connected spaces at once. Gwendolyn and her summoned knights can operate on different sides of the mirror, creating layered multi-objective encounters.
Does the game have skill trees and builds?+
The developers describe light RPG elements with levels and skill trees. Beyond that, Gwendolyn can be customized with weapons, equipment, accessories, clothing, hair and makeup, while the knight loadout system effectively gives you two simultaneous builds to swap between in battle.
